Shoot 4- Graffiti
Work Record- Shoot 4
In todays shoot I did a studio shoot of face paint. This shoot didn't go as planned due to the fact that I couldn't get the specific paint that I wanted, therefore the paint didn't run down the face. However I worked with what I had and feel that the photographers turned out better than I expected.
If I was to do this shoot again I would plan ahead and make sure I have the right paint before I decide to do the shoot & practice it before doing it.
If I was to take this photograph again I would experiment with getting close up photographs as this image is close up & I feel it looks a lot better however I would try to get even closer.
This photograph shows the use of a high angle, therefore the camera is looking down on the model. This allows you to see more of the face but still remain close up. I used soft lighting and a black background.
If I was to take this photograph again I would focus on the composition of the photograph as I feel the composition could be a lot tighter.
Inspiration:
My inspiration for this shoot came from my exaggerated make-up shoot as I liked how the use of vibrant colours was used to highlight certain areas of the face, I wanted to carry this on but in a different way, therefore I used paint instead of make-up.
As a result of this shoot I would like to experiment with the use of glow in the dark paint but also I would like to re shoot this shoot with the correct paint so it looks more like the image above, which I was inspired by.
Work Record- Shoot 3
In todays lesson I did a studio shoot of diamantes(gems) covering the face. I decided to do one half of the face blue and the other half red to show the contrast between the two. I also used red and blue as from previous shoots I found that they are two colours that stand out the most as they are both vibrant colours.
If I was to do this shoot again I would look at making patterns & shapes around the face with the diamantes instead of just covering the whole face.
If I was to take this photograph again I would focus on more close up shots, for example: close up shot of the mouth.
This photograph shows the use of diamantes covering the models face. I have captured a close up shot of the eyes while the model has her eyes shut, this allows you to see the dark black long length lashes. Due to the fact that the photograph has been taken from directly in front it allows you to see the clear contrast between the two different coloured diamantes.
If I was to take this photograph again I would experiment with high and low angle shots of the eye area.

My inspiration for this shoot came from my previous shoot of exaggerated make-up as I used diamantes to cover the models head, as a result I came up with the idea of covering the whole face in diamantes. The use of coloured diamantes was also a way of me carrying on the use of vibrant colours through my work.
As a result of this shoot & the previous shoot of exaggerated make-up I am going to carry on the use of vibrant colours but I would like to use paint to cover the face by creating patterns all over the face.

Work Record- Shoot 2
In todays lesson I did a studio shoot of exaggerated make-up. I used vibrant colours to highlight certain features of the models face, for example: eyes & lips. I also added diamantes to the models head to add extra colour and make the look more exaggerated.
If I was to do this shoot again I would experiment with different coloured eye shadows and focus on close up shots of the eyes as I preferred the close up images I took. I also really liked the idea of the diamantes on the models face therefore I would like to experiment more with the use of diamantes.
This photograph shows the use of vibrant colours to represent exaggerated make-up. I used a black background to make the vibrant colours stand out more. I used soft lighting to highlight the neutral colour of the skin and the vibrant coloured make-up. I used the diamantes in this shoot to incorporate more colour into my photographs but it also creates patterns and texture within my image.
If I was to take this photograph again I would experiment with different angles I could take the photograph from and take more close up photographs to prevent the background from being included in the photo.
This photograph has been taken from a high angle, looking down on the models face. This allows the viewer to see all of the make-up. I used a black background and soft lighting. The lighting was used to light the models face rather than the background itself. Due to the fact that the model has her eyes closed it allows the viewers to see the long length of her eye lashes.
If I was to take this photograph again I would focus on the composition of the photo as I feel too much of the left side of the face is included and I haven't included the tip of the chin and the top of the head.

Inspiration:
My inspiration for this shoot came from my first shoot that I did of selective colour in London. This was due to the fact that I liked the use of vibrant colours but through the use of people rather than products/objects. Therefore I started to look into exaggerated make-up.
As a result of this shoot I have realised that I like the use of the diamantes and would like to experiment with the use of diamantes covering the face in a different way for my next shoot. Also from this shoot I would like to now experiment with the use of paint instead of make-up for a future shoot.
