Work Record- Shoot 4

In todays shoot I did a studio shoot of face paint. This shoot didn't go as planned due to the fact that I couldn't get the specific paint that I wanted, therefore the paint didn't run down the face. However I worked with what I had and feel that the photographers turned out better than I expected.
If I was to do this shoot again I would plan ahead and make sure I have the right paint before I decide to do the shoot & practice it before doing it.

In this photograph I have used different coloured paint in order to show vibrant colours and contrast. This photographer is a close up image of the side of the face. This shot allows you to see the 3D effect of the paint as you can see the paint lumps and yellow spike at the side. I used soft lighting to create a natural skin tone in order to make the paint stand out more.
If I was to take this photograph again I would experiment with getting close up photographs as this image is close up & I feel it looks a lot better however I would try to get even closer.

This photograph shows the use of a high angle, therefore the camera is looking down on the model. This allows you to see more of the face but still remain close up. I used soft lighting and a black background.
If I was to take this photograph again I would focus on the composition of the photograph as I feel the composition could be a lot tighter.

Inspiration:
My inspiration for this shoot came from my exaggerated make-up shoot as I liked how the use of vibrant colours was used to highlight certain areas of the face, I wanted to carry this on but in a different way, therefore I used paint instead of make-up.

As a result of this shoot I would like to experiment with the use of glow in the dark paint but also I would like to re shoot this shoot with the correct paint so it looks more like the image above, which I was inspired by.
